"Emergence"
-the process of coming into view or becoming exposed after being concealed.
Two years in the making.
For anyone that has followed my story on social media, you'll know that this piece started it's life looking very different. This canvas has been sat in my living room for two years. The things it's seen, the emotions it's felt. It has been present through one of the biggest growing seasons of my life. If I'm honest, it's hard to recognize who I was when I started the painting.
As this painting has developed, I have deepened my own relationship with myself. Becoming more sure of who I am and why I am here. I have become less dependent on outside sources to tell me who I am and what I am worth. I have found a level of peace within myself that I never knew existed.
This piece is a true reflection of my own emergence, a stepping stone for my future.
As I'm typing this I have no clue who this piece will end up with, it may stay with me for hours, for days, for months or years.
Not knowing the destination, That's the beauty of creating Art.
One thing I do know, is that whoever ends up with the piece- it is meant for you.
Even when I don't know who you are yet.
You are ready to emerge, you are ready for this next step, and this girl will follow you for your life reminding you of that.
